Seasons Greeting

I hope everyone had a Merry Christmas and setting up for a Happy New Year?

We are down on Hayling Island staying with our daughter and son in law and their two cats Ted and Charlie. Jaime's parents have joined us traveling over from Wales. We will be here till the 15th of January as Celena and Jaime are off following the sun for 11 days, we will be on Cat Watch, photos to follow, fingers crossed we don't loose one. They are house cats, all very strange to me, two grey/blue Persian's great fun, but they don't go outside to play.

Alot of people ask where is Hayling Island and do you catch a ferry? no the island is linked with a bridge to the mainland, see the photo below. Facing south, to the right you a have Portsmouth and to the left Chichester. The island has a population of 17,000 as of 2011, there has been and increase in housing so there could be a few more 1000. The main employment is in tourism, there are 3 major holiday resort park open right through out the year.

During the summer months more caravan and camping grounds open all offer quality facilities. You have a choice of good restaurants and pubs catering for all taste's.

The Langstone Bridge built in 1956 link Hayling Island with the mainland and town of Havant.

Thursday 15 December 2016

Hi there everyone, it's been well over a year since I last did a post, very naughty. 2016 is about to end and it's not been a busy one. After much thought Dave and I decided that we would not be touring this year. We've had some much needed home time and it's been great, we could have played more golf hehe We have been writing new material and look forward to sharing this with you in 2017.  Dave has been keeping busy with his crafts and I have revisited my sewing to combine products for our on line https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/WrightOnDesigns  Dave has built a few Cigar Box Guitars here is a video of Chris O'Neill from the http://www.cavernbeatles.com/ playing Blackbird on a 3 string that he built for his birthday. Looking forward to getting back to blogging and sharing out crafts, travels and music with you.

Back home in the town of the Long Grey Cloud. Boy we've done a few miles again, travelling down to the crazy M25 and around to a very tranquil village of Herons Gate. Once the home of The Chartist Cooperative Land Society https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Heronsgate I played a show as posted before for the Teenage Cancer Trust Charity with the Mick Flynn Band https://itunes.apple.com/au/album/curl-a-mo-for-movember-single/id1168813696 The stage and setting are amazing. The link below is a review and photos of the night. Just back from a show in Blackpool so having an early night. http://chorleywoodmagazine.co.uk/acts-announced-for-tct-twilight-concert/

Just back from a great show down in Devon at Ladram Bay Holiday Park. https://www.ladrambay.co.uk
They have their own private beach and holiday homes with a views over the English Channel. Tad dull when we arrived. Great room and PA with a top Ents team lead by Greg who all give 120% Dan on the sound desk made it a pleasure to work there. As you can see the audience were well up for it, set up and  bouncing by the Ents team. First long trip out with the Maxi VW Caddy. Next Tina gig is the TCT in Chorley Wood, with full live band and brass section. This is going to be a top night, videos and photos up here after the show.

Saturday 4 July 2015

Summer has cut into my Blog posts. I've been busy getting material together for a couple local shows as well a doing solo gigs up in Blackpool, being me not Tina.  Also we've been running round looking for  a new vehicle for our long road trips. We've now bought a VW Maxi Caddy, that fits all the PA, lights and costumes, but still leaves a full back seat for three passengers. Full Tina show coming up this month at Ladram Bay Holiday Park, where we will be teaming up with Jamie and Carla, who we've spent many hours at sea with.

The write up below is for a show on the 1st of August in Chorleywood in aid of the Teenage Cancer Trust. What a line up and thrilled that I will be closing the night, stage out doors, full 7 piece band. This is a ticket event so if your live around Herts follow links, this going to great night.
